The camp is for children aged between 7 and 15 and is run annually by a group of Baptist churches. The campsite is in Pirque which is about a one hour drive out of Santiago into some beautiful countryside.
Apparently there were tarantulas around the campsite which I was fine with (kinda). When the children returned home, I was told "we kept finding them in our cabins!". Oh the sublime horror!
My boy came home dirt-riddened and tanned, but with such happy stories of new friends and adventures. He grew a bit too and not just in height. This is what camp week is all about I guess - giving children a week away from home to learn about God, others and themselves. And they did.

Sally, I can't wait to see the Swan kids coming on Crusader camps! They'll love it! (especially the sailing camps hopefully!)

Oh well, think of the positives of his not changing clothes - less laundry! [Unless you've trained them to do their own laundry. :-) ]
